It’s the Mets’ first final trading date with general manager Billy Ebler.

So far, New York has made two deals, acquiring Daniel Vogelback of Pittsburgh and Tyler Naquin of Cincinnati.

Last season on Deadline, the Mets made a move to acquire Javier Baez and Trevor Williams of the Chicago Cubs for junior driver Pete Crowe-Armstrong. This year, the Mets contacted the Cubs again, in search of a deal to bring catcher Wilson Contreras and loyal David Robertson to Queens.

Additionally, the Mets held talks with the Red Sox (catcher Christian Vasquez and DHG de Martinez) and the Nationals (first rank officer Josh Bell).

The trade market is still burning. We’ll update this thread over the next couple of days with the latest reports and updates on any Mets deals around the league.
