pressure starts

Jake Paul says he knew this was going to happen from the jump.

According to Most Valuable Promotions, Hasim Rahman Jr. In promotion and commission and Paul regarding his weight. After Rahman Jr requested to go from cruiserweight (200 pounds) to contract weight of 215 pounds, the promotion canceled the match—and the entire August 6 event scheduled at Madison Square Garden in New York.

While Paul initially issued a brief written commentary, he delved deeper into a pair of videos uploaded to social media. The videos were a two-part explanation of what happened and why the event was eventually called off.

“This is just another case of a professional boxer, just like Tommy Fury feared my fight,” Paul said. “It’s clear as today that these guys were very unprofessional to work with, looking for any excuse to suck more money out of this event, to force us to do things. From the jump, I knew in the bottom of my heart that this guy didn’t want to get in there with me.” It is clear as day.”

Paul echoed much of the initial news release of his promotion, most valued proposition said. He claimed that Rahman Jr. had never intended to gain weight, but when pressure fell upon him, he used it as an excuse to back off.

“His biggest paycheck is 10 times his life and he’s fumbling for it,” Paul said. “Why? Because he knows he’s going to fire me. The pressure starts to set in. It’s exactly what’s going on with all these guys. Same thing with Tommy Fury. I’m sick of it.”

Paul concluded by apologizing to the rest of the fighters who were due to compete for the card, notably Amanda Serrano and Ashton Self.

“All right, people. Emergency press conference. You may have seen the news. Hashem Rahman Jr. withdrew from the fight. This is no joke. I’m broke. I can’t believe this. We just found out about this news. This is just another case of a professional boxer, Just like Tommy Fury feared my fight. It’s clear as today that these guys were very unprofessional to work with, looking for any excuse to suck more money out of this event, to force us to do things. From the jump, I knew in the bottom of my heart that this guy He doesn’t want to get in there with me. It’s clear as day. Here’s what happened, long story short. So he signed a contract to fight me for 200lbs and was about to cut the weight down to 200lbs. That’s not a big cut for him. He’s a huge guy with a lot of weight to lose. He sent a video to the committee the first time he weighed 216 pounds. The committee wanted to track his weight reduction to make sure he was doing it in a healthy way. Three weeks later, the committee asked him for an update on his weight. He sent a video that weighed 215 pounds – which means he In three weeks, he only lost a pound. So the committee was like, ‘Hey, Hey man. You are not cutting the weight correctly. We don’t want you to lose everything on the last day. We’ll have to change this fight to 205 pounds. My team is calling me. They’re like, man. They want to change the weight to 205 lbs. This is a big difference. We usually fight at 190lbs. Do you want to keep fighting? I said: No problem. Let’s do it. 205 pounds. He already has the weight advantage, the height advantage, the reach advantage, all of those things. but whatever. I still hit his butt at 205 pounds. This was it. We go forward. Then today, out of nowhere, his team calls him and says: ‘Hashem will weigh no less than 215 pounds. If the fight isn’t at 215 pounds, we pull out. My boss says, “Damn you guys. You’re not in control of this. We’ve already agreed on five more pounds. He’s a big guy. Losing 10 pounds, everyone in the sport of boxing knows it’s easy to lose weight. UFC champions cut 25 pounds overnight To increase the weight. Decrease the weight by 10 pounds for the heavyweight is nothing. This is clearly an excuse to say, “Well, the fight is not at 215? We are abroad. Biggest winning day of his life 10 times and he’s feeling it. Why? Because he knows he will fire me. Pressure begins to appear. It’s exactly what’s going on with all these guys. Same thing with Tommy Fury. I’m sick of it. I feel very disappointed. I apologize to everyone on the bottom card. Amanda Serrano, I know you’ve been working hard. Ashton Self, I know you’ve been working hard. This is ridiculous. There is nothing I can do about it. I apologize to the fans. I’ll be back sometime.”
