After being sued by Twitter, Elon Musk responded with a counter-call in his legal battle against the social network.
Twitter has decided to sue Elon Musk and both will go to court in October to resolve the $44 billion deal. Earlier this year, Twitter accepted the Tesla CEO’s offer to buy the platform.
Although Elon Musk had promised not to back out of the deal, this was long before he realized it This is something Twitter claims that spam and fake accounts account for less than 5% of its users.
He suspended the acquisition and later clarified that he would back out of the deal if Twitter did not accurately depict the number of spam, fake, and bot accounts using its platform.
Twitter sued Elon Musk, and now Elon Musk is suing Twitter.
Elon Musk resists Twitter
Reuters It reported that Elon Musk opposed Twitter on Friday, adding that the 164-page document was not publicly available.
The lawsuit was filed a few hours after Chancellor Kathleen McCormick of Delaware’s District Court ordered a trial on October 17.
Luigi Crespo, a Twitter contributor who owns 5,500 shares in the company, also filed a lawsuit against Elon Musk on Friday. Crispo wants the court to order Elon Musk to close the Twitter deal and find that he has breached his fiduciary duty to Twitter shareholders.
He also wants the court to award damages for the losses. according to ReutersElon Musk owes a fiduciary duty to Twitter shareholders due to his 9.6% stake in Twitter. Also because the takeover agreement enables ElonMusk to veto many of Twitter’s decisions.
The bright side
Although there isn’t much of a silver lining to Twitter or Elon. Lawsuits aren’t an ideal source of joy for the many parties involved – at least, I don’t think they are.
However, I feel as if the lawsuit brings some of the issues many people deal with on Twitter to the fore. Like ban shadow.
This happened to a few people (including Teslarate!) on Twitter. In many cases, the user tweets but that tweet won’t show up in searches.
And if they reply to a tweet or like it, Twitter hides it. In my tweet below, I’ve shared a thread full of screenshots and video evidence of this happening Teslarati.
– Elon Musk July 18 2022
Twitter has four types of bans:
- Ban a search proposal.
- Search ban.
- Ban ghosts.
- reply deboosting.
Fortunately, the ban on Teslarati It was uploaded, although it has been around for a while, it was back and forth for a few days after Elon replied to my tweet.
You should not receive a response from Elon Musk on Twitter to remove the ban on real accounts. This is not fair to Elon Musk or the users being silenced by Twitter.
I’ve also noticed that there have been fewer bots since the lawsuit began. However, I noticed there were fewer posts and I’m not the only one who noticed.
No one knows whether these events were caused directly or indirectly by the ongoing legal saga or not. But we note.
Yes 100% – Also notice fewer spam bots impersonating you.

One thing we can count on is that this suit reveals a lot.
