Dr Disrespect’s Call of Duty competitor is being destroyed by fans

The first shots of Dr. Disrespect’s new first-person shooter, known as DedropIt was revealed and fans are tearing it up. While it might be a little weird for some people for Dr Disrespect to be making a video game, this isn’t the first time he’s been working on a game. In early 2010, Guy Beahm AKA Dr Disrespect worked as a community manager at Sledgehammer Games before moving on to designing maps for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. He left the industry to focus on his live broadcasting career after that, but video game development is definitely part of his DNA. The content creator founded a new studio called Midnight Society last winter and recruited a group of industry vets to help make a game that could rival the best FPS franchises.

Now, the game, DedropIts first gameplay was revealed and fans became incredibly frustrated. While it’s no surprise that a game that’s been in development for less than a year isn’t the most mind-blowing game in the world, Dr. Desripcht told a fan in June that he was “blowing anything out of the CoD engine” until he waited for the July reveal. Now that we’re here, fans are making fun of the game and the tweets it’s promoting. The recently released gameplay features a wide range of shooting and some environments, but it’s still a far cry from anything Call of Duty styled. Some have compared the gameplay to Call of Duty: Mobile in a pejorative way.

Needless to say, the game is still years away from an actual release, but it is expected that select groups of people will continue to play and try out new designs in the coming weeks and months. It remains to be seen if the game will turn out well, but fans are incredibly optimistic. Dedrop Designed for FPS fans after years of AAA disasters like Battlefield 2042So the game Dr Disrespect leads has a lot of weight on its shoulders.
