Billy Napier & Florida defeated Miami by WR Andy Jane

Four-star wide receiver at Miami Northwestern Andy Jane He did not arrive in Miami on Saturday. Instead of coming home to attend the Hurricane Cooking on the last weekend of the lull, the rookie adult decided to stay a bit longer in Florida and then announced a verbal commitment to the Gators.

“Florida feels like home,” Jen told 247Sports. “Florida is SEC football and I come from a high school where we play with great teams. Being at Northwestern University it really prepared me to play in a big school and to play in SEC. Florida also has good coaches and the fan base is always supportive. Like I came To Florida for a track meet, everyone was rooting for me. Every time I’m here, I just feel loved.”

Jean, who was previously committed to Miami, has been a top priority since Billy Napier took charge of Gainesville. Not only did he build a strong relationship with the young coach, but he also reached out to UF assistant Keary Colbert along with staffers like Benedick Hyppolite and David Doeker.

“Coach Napier is a great guy and a great coach,” Jan said. “He coached Amary Cooper (who also played for Miami Northwestern). When he got the job, he watched my tape and immediately said I reminded him of Amary Cooper. That was when I was committed to Miami, but he still called me a lot and was like, ‘I like to coach you and that Developed by some of the coaches I have here. “I felt like he was real and he wasn’t just lying to me.”

“Coach KC is real too,” Jin added. “After a camp, I sat in his conference room and he broke my bar and showed me some drills that could help improve my game at home, and it worked. So, I feel like I can improve here and feel like I can be my best here. Enjoy All coaches have good development skills.”

Gene is out of the junior season with 40 passes for 733 yards and eight touchdowns. Arguably he played his best to date against the national strength IMG Academy where he hit 122 yards and got two hits in six catches.

Although Jean may currently sit outside the Top247, it is likely that the team at 247Sports plans to keep a close eye on the coming months with the Bulls facing off early in the season against the nationally seeded Venice (Fl.) and nationally seeded Hollywood) Florida) Chaminade-Madonna Prep.

Taking a step back and looking at the big picture, this is a monster victory for Napier and the Gators. Florida hasn’t pulled anyone out yet from Miami-Dade since Napier took over Mullen and it’s not as if Jean isn’t someone Miami — and others — wanted.

Jane joins a UF 2023 recruiting class that is challenging for a place within the top 10 of the 247 Sports Composite Team Rankings after a string of recent commitments.

“I’m close to some guys, but even people I haven’t gotten close to, I feel like they still have good energy,” Jean said while detailing the environment at Friday Night Lights where he was seen hanging out with Marcus, Stokes, Creed Whitmore, Triaun Webb and others. “Seeing me and bonding with them was a good thing because these will be my teammates for the rest of my life. Florida is a great school to attend and we all want a change of perspective in Florida.”
