Auburn continued to get much-needed recruit wins on Saturday as the Big Cat weekend continued. The second verbal pledge of the day came from the four stars in the first place football. Four-star winner Adrian Boss from Florida will join the Tigers 2024 class.
Posse is ranked No. 13 quarterback in the country and 184 overall, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He measured at 6 feet 2 and 205 pounds and was rated as a well-armed thrower with room for improvement as his junior season approaches. With questions surrounding Bryan Harsin’s 2023 range, the Posse Landing could give the Tigers a cornerstone to build around.
Posey was part of the Miami Christian University team as an eighth grader. He joined Monsignor (Florida) Pace as a high school student. This spring, Buss moved to Miami Columbus. In the last month, he visited Miami, Oklahoma and others where he received more than 10 performances.
After a strong showing at the June 10 camp on the Plains, Boss was shown by Auburn. His primary recruits were offensive coordinator Eric Kizo and midfielder coach Roc Bellantoni. The latter helped the Tigers secure another chance for Florida, up-and-coming defensive lineman Wilkie Dinnud, on Wednesday.
Andrew Evins, Career Analyst at 247Sports writes: “He has upper body strength to get the ball out of shims but appears to be at his best when he can put his feet up and lead the football toward his goal. … However, pocket presence and internal clock should be improved because that It will likely help reduce errors, which tend to be one-off blowouts.Overall, he should be seen as a developmental quarterback with some of the tools required to win games on Saturday, but he should continue to progress as a decision maker and get better at tackling complex defenses, especially If he’s taking shots in SEC or Big Ten.”
Auburn has yet to name a starter for the 2022 season. In the recruiting track, the Tigers have yet to add a thrower despite competing for big names like Christopher Vizina (Clemson) of Braywood Christian and Lausanne (Teen) Brock Glenn. (Glenn is scheduled to announce Saturday afternoon.) Four-star Air Noland, another 2024 producer, from Fairburn, Georgia, currently has 247 Crystal Ball predictions for Auburn.
