Who leads the Formula 1 World Championship 2022 drivers points?

Red Bull champion Verstappen had another 17 points over Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc, who took the lead in Hungary before a poor strategic decision put him back in sixth place.

Verstappen now has an 80-point lead over Leclerc as he bids for his second consecutive drivers title. Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez’s fifth place in Hungary means he is five points short of second-place Leclerc in points.

With George Russell’s finish on the podium, he is two points ahead of Carlos Sainz in Ferrari’s second to fourth in points.

He put Lewis Hamilton, seven-time world champion, and runner-up in second, with 10 Sainz in sixth.

Who leads the Formula 1 World Championship 2022 makers points?

In constructors’ points, Red Bull’s 35-point lead in Hungary puts it ahead of Ferrari by 97 points after a turbulent Scuderia day.

Mercedes beat Ferrari by 14 points, narrowing the difference to 30 points. Alpine and McLaren tied by six points in Budapest, bringing the French Marc by four points in fourth place.

The only other top scorer was Aston Martin, who remained in ninth place – now seven points behind Alvatore.
