Where will the football teams stay and train in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar? | football news

The Qatar World Cup 2022 kicks off on November 21, with the final match taking place on December 18.

Announcing the hotels and training venues for 32 teams, FIFA said that three-quarters of the teams participating in this year’s World Cup in Qatar will be based within a radius of 10 kilometers (six miles) from each other.

Unlike previous tournaments, each team will stay in the same hotel and use the same training base throughout the tournament.

“Players will have more time to train and rest while competing with the ability to experience the excitement that will take over the country much closer together, as players and enthusiastic fans from all 32 nations will gather in one region,” said Colin Smith, FIFA Chief Operating Officer – world Cup.

The tournament, which will be played on eight stadiums, begins on November 21 with the final on December 18.

The International Football Association (FIFA) said the accommodations range from “four and five stars to villas, resorts and non-hotel accommodation, including sports academy residences and school/university housing”.

“As with all World Cup projects, legacy planning has been a key factor and many of the renovated and built training sites will benefit clubs and local communities long after the tournament is over. The new hotels will also support the growing tourism industry,” said Nasser Al Khater, CEO of Qatar 2022. in Qatar after 2022.

More than one million fans are expected to visit Qatar for the tournament.
