When you look at Apple’s pattern of launching new devices, especially the iPhone, Apple usually follows a very clear formula that makes it very easy to guess when the next iPhone will be released.
No reputable person has given a firm date for when the next iPhone event will happen or actually later, yet public reports suggest that the iPhone 14 is on schedule for the usual September launch in previous years.
Wake me up when September starts
Apple launched almost all of its iPhones in September. But when did that start exactly? The first iPhone launched in June, 3G in July, 3GS in June, and iPhone 4 in June. Then Apple switched to fall launches with the iPhone 4S. All subsequent flagship iPhones have been announced and launched already in and around September. This includes the iPhone 5, 5C, 5S, iPhone 6, iPhone 6S, iPhone 7, iPhone 8, iPhone XS, iPhone 11, and iPhone 13.
The only exceptions to this rule are the iPhone X which was announced alongside the iPhone 8 but debuted two months later, and the iPhone XR which was released in October. Finally, the iPhone 12 was delayed by one month due to COVID and was not announced until October.
Apple’s latest iPhone SE was a spring launch, as was the previous model, however, don’t let that confuse you, the flagship iPhone is pretty much a fall event.
When in September?
If we say that September is the month, then we can also assume that the latter half of September, or in the middle at the latest, is ideal for a more accurate forecast. The current best iPhone from Apple, the iPhone 13 was announced on September 14th, with a release the following week.
More specifically, Apple always keeps its iPhone major events on Tuesday, and this gives people time to pre-order the phone the following Friday, usually the following week.
If we apply last year’s formula, the iPhone 14 event launch should be as follows:
- iPhone 14 أحداث event invitations – 6 September
- Key event on iPhone 14 – September 13
- iPhone 14 pre-orders – September 16
- iPhone 14 release date (Available in stores) – September 23
what are you expecting
Apple’s iPhone 14 is expected to feature a new 6.7-inch version of the regular iPhone, along with plenty of upgrades for the pros including a new A16 processor, an always-on display, 48MP, and more.
