Mitch Trubesky and Kenny Beckett join the WAG groups at the Steelers camp

The first day of training at the Steelers training camp turned into a family affair for quarterback Mitch Trubesky.

As training begins Wednesday at St. Vincent’s College in La Trobe, Pennsylvania, Trubisky was visited by two of his favorite fans: his wife Hilary and their newborn son, Hudson David.

“Year 6🖤 #HereWeGo,” Hillary gushed on Instagram as she and the 27-year-old quarterback posed with Hudson, who they welcomed back in May.

Trubsisky, who signed a two-year, $14.25 deal with the Steelers in March, worked with the first team on Wednesday, just as he did earlier this summer at the OTAs and junior camp. He is the favorite to be the team’s starter in week one, although he will be challenged by rookie Kenny Pickett and veteran Mason Rudolph.

“As far as I know, it will remain similar to what it was,” Trubesky said, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. “I only take it one day at a time. If it was me and I kept leading this team and getting better every day, it would all work out.”

Trubisky spent last season at Buffalo, where he served as a backup quarterback for Bills rookie Josh Allen. Prior to that, he spent the first four seasons of his NFL career with the Bears, who picked him second overall in 2017.
