Qatar Airways increases the number of special all-inclusive travel packages for the FIFA World Cup

With demand growing, Qatar Airways is ramping up its all-inclusive special travel packages for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ for fans to secure their place at the world’s biggest football event. Additional packages include match tickets, flights and accommodation for the duration of the tournament, allowing passionate football fans to reserve their seats and catch up on their favorite team during the first FIFA World Cup in the Middle East.

The airline originally launched these packages in September 2021, to meet the expected millions of fans, but now, with less than 130 days left until the mega event, global demand for match tickets has soared, and these travel packages provide fans with guaranteed tickets to experience the games in person. In just a few easy steps, they can buy match tickets, flights and accommodation through one dedicated platform.

If they are not yet members, fans should make sure they join the Qatar Airways Privilege Club beforehand, after which they will be able to access the Fan Travel Packages portal and select their options, which come with booking flexibility and seat reservations as per their preferences for games.

The privately-branded Boeing 777 aircraft was first announced in November 2020, to celebrate the two-year countdown to the tournament, and was displayed at the Farnborough International Airshow 2022. The aircraft was hand-painted with the iconic FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ branding in celebration of the anniversary. The airline’s partnership with FIFA.

The tournament will be held in eight world-class stadiums designed to evoke the symbols of Arab culture. Al Bayt Stadium will host the opening match with a capacity of 60,000 seats, while Lusail Stadium is preparing to host the final match of the tournament with a capacity of 80,000 seats. The remaining stadiums, which include Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium, Al Janoub Stadium, Khalifa International Stadium, Education City Stadium, 974 Stadium, and Al Thumama Stadium, will host about 40,000 spectators.
