Cargill and Continental Grain complete acquisition of Sanderson Farms

As part of closing the deal, Cargill and Continental Grain combined Sanderson Farms and Wayne Farms, a subsidiary of Continental Grain, to form a new private poultry business. The new company, called Wayne Sanderson Farms, is headquartered Oakwood, Georgia. As previously announced, Clint Riverscurrently CEO of Wayne Farms, has been appointed CEO of the combined company.
