Welcome to the weekend. This week was a drought in the bargain for last week’s lively coverage, but there are still some great limited-time shows worth focusing on. For example, Google has flipped pre-orders for the Pixel 6A and Pixel Buds Pro after a long wait since they were announced at Google I/O 2022. And for folks who want the Pixel 6A, placing the pre-order on Amazon or Best Buy will get you a complementary set of headphones. Pixel Buds A-Series wireless earbuds that usually only cost $100.
Alison Johnson posted a review of the Pixel 6A on Thursday, and it looks like it’s worth the wait. While it has a smaller 6.1-inch OLED screen (some might prefer it) and slower refresh rate (60Hz vs. 90Hz) than the Pixel 6, it has the same Tensor processor. Therefore, it should at least be able to keep up with fast performance. As for the Pixel Buds A-Series earbuds that come free with this deal, they don’t have active noise cancellation or wireless charging — both of which are found in the Pixel Buds Pro — but they sound great considering they’re a free gift. Read our review of the Buds A-Series.
While we’re talking about the topic of hot new Google tech (at least, before the Pixel 7 and Pixel Watch arrive this fall), Wellbots offers edge Readers are small, but $15 off the Pixel Buds Pro is welcome. Normally $199.99, with code 15th When you go out it will let you go out for less.
We’re still working hard on our review of the Pixel Buds Pro, but they seem to have a comprehensive set of features, including wireless charging, active noise cancellation, and more. Plus, they’ll get the cool device swapping trick. We can’t recommend it just yet since we haven’t finished testing, but it’s at least worth navigating the deal if you’re curious.

My biggest complaint against the new Lenovo Legion 5i Pro laptop was its price, not its excellent performance. At $1,999, it wasn’t really the most expensive option, but $1,599 turns it into an incredible bargain. This is at Walmart, and it’s tangled up in an Intel-based configuration.
In terms of specs, it includes a 16-inch QHD display with a 165Hz refresh rate, one of the fast Intel 12th-Gen Core i7 processors, Nvidia’s RTX 3070 graphics chip, 16GB of DDR5 RAM, and a 1TB SSD. I think you’ll be hard pressed to find a faster gaming laptop with current specifications at this price. Read my review to get a deeper look at its performance, design, and more.
