Patrick Mahomes, the mayor of Kansas City, is fine because he’s no longer the highest paid. ESPN
“Especially in a quarterback, the next man is the highest paid man. Any of these quarterbacks are top-notch, they make a huge difference in the NFL football teams. [older contracts are] We will miss them. ”
Mahomes said he expects the $45 million average salary of his extension to drop further in the rankings when quarterbacks like Joe Burrow, Justin Herbert and Russell Wilson sign extensions with their teams.
“They will continue to raise the standards even higher,” Mahomes said. “You always want to get paid and take care of your family, but I want a great team around me too.”

Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs spared no outlays of money or venture capital to fix their offensive line after its collapse in Super Bowl LV, and were pleased with the results in 2021. Rookie Creed Humphrey’s block rate of 0.5% was the lowest in the NFL among the starting positions. Humphrey and right-back Trey Smith are both named to the All-Rookie Writers’ Team of America for professional football.
Meanwhile, acquisitions by free agent Joe Thony and Orlando Brown Jr. brought stability to the streak, which finished fourth in the NFL in adjusted football sack average and eighth in adjusted yards. Brown is in a contract brawl entering training camp, so this is something to watch as we head into the season. Correct intervention is the only position available to hold it. Lucas Niang started last season with the right tackle but struggled with shoulder, rib and knee injuries. Andrew Wylie was suited to Niang’s relief in 2021, but he’s more suited to supporting both guards.
Three questions every AFC West team must answer ahead of the 2022 season: Are the elite team chiefs still without Terrick Hill? | CBS Sports
1. Who is the #1 wide receiver now that Tyreek Hill is gone? Chiefs will be fine in the spacious reception position with Smith Schuster, Valdis Scantling, Mikol Hardman and Moore. Travis Kelsey is the No. 1 pass target, but which of these receivers will emerge as Mahomes’ best player?
Smith-Schuster is more than perfect in the slot and should thrive on pickup passes in Reid’s attack. Valdes-Scantling and Hardmann are more suited to deep passes, although Hardman could emerge as a reliable passing striker with more goals in the fourth year. Moore would learn fast and have the potential to be a WR1 on the road, unfair to immediately put that burden on him.
Kelsey and Smith Schuster seem suited to be the best pass catchers. Will Kansas City match the productions that Hill has brought in over the past six seasons? Don’t bet on Mahomes with more options in the scrolling game – something that The Chiefs missed last year.

West Asia: Can the Broncos go from worst to number one with the addition of Russell Wilson?
Even in the tough West Asian Football League, the Denver Broncos have a good chance of going from worst in 2021 to first in 2022.
The Kansas City Chiefs have traded a dynamic weapon at Tyrek Hill for the Miami Dolphins, which could level the offensive field within the squad. Not only that, as a midfielder more accomplished than Justin Herbert and Derek Carr, Wilson can make a huge difference in tight games late in the season.
Coach Nathaniel Hackett will share everything with Wilson. He’s going to “Let Russ Cook” in Denver.
“It’s all about leading the system,” Hackett said. “We want to build this thing completely around it and make sure it’s comfortable and watch it come to life.”
Is AFC West the best quarterback ever? | Fox Sports
With four top 10 players in the division, including one critic who ranks first overall (Mahomes), Colin Cord this week walked out of a historic fringe and said West Asia is the best division in league history.
Cord points to the fact that Mahomes has the highest passer rating ever, Wilson has the most wins of any QB during his first 10 seasons, while Herbert has the most yards and TDs over the first two seasons of the signal caller, and Carr leads. The NFL is on a fourth-quarter comeback since entering the league in 2014.
“It’s been amazing in my life that they are the most talented quarterback team ever – and it’s nowhere near,” Coward said. “There have never been four elite players, in my life, elite midfielders [in the same division]. “

Trent McDuffie is ready for Chiefs fans to see him in action

McDuffie also said that as he prepares for the junior season, some veteran players — both on and off his position group — have helped him with the team’s playbook.

Just listen to them – listen to their little criticism – even when I’m in the field. I may have made a mistake. But [when] I got out of the field, they told me what [to] You do and I can fix it the next day. It was really nice to play with guys like that.
