Mojang’s statement on Wednesday clarified that NFT technology would constitute a violation of Minecraft’s usage guidelines.
“To ensure that Minecraft players have a safe and comprehensive experience, the integration of blockchain technologies within our client and server applications is not permitted, and Minecraft in-game content such as worlds, skins, character items, or any other mods may not be used through blockchain technology to create a rare digital asset.”
