Stanley Cup Final, College World Series, NASCAR Weekend Sports Schedule

MIAMI, June 24 (UPI) – The 2022 Stanley Cup Final, College World Series Finals and three NASCAR races highlight the sporting events that will air this weekend. It will also broadcast dozens of matches from international women’s football, MLS and MLB.

Several boxing title bouts will also take place from Friday to Sunday.

But the NHL Frozen Floor Final will be the main event of the weekend. The Colorado Avalanche leads the Tampa Bay Lightning 3-1 in the Stanley Cup Final, best of seven.

The series will continue on Friday in Denver, where the home team needs just one win to claim the title and end Lightning’s hopes of winning with three bodies.

Stanley Cup Final

The Avalanche will host two-time defending champion Lightning in Game 5 at 8 p.m. ET on Friday at the Ball Arena. The Lightning win will force Game 6 on Sunday in Tampa, Florida.

Game seven, if necessary, will be on Tuesday in Denver. ABC will broadcast all of the Stanley Cup Finals. Hockey fans can also stream games on ESPN+.

The Avalanche, ranked number one in the Western Conference, won the first two games of the series in Denver. The Lightning won Game 3, but lost Game 4 in overtime.

The eight points scored by Mikko Rantanen, Avalanche winger, are the most among all the players. Rantanen totaled eight assists in four matches. Our fellow Avalanche Wingers Valeri Nichushkin and Gabriel Landeskog lead this series with two goals each.

Midfielder Anthony Cirelli and left winger Ondrej Balat lead the lighting team with two goals each. Avalanche goalkeeper Darcy Kuemper has saved 90% of Lightning’s shooting attempts in four games. It got 90 saves. Lightning star Andrei Vasilevskiy made a total of 128 stops and saved 88.9% of his avalanche shots.

World College Championship

The National College Baseball Champion could be determined for the 2022 College World Series Finals this weekend in Omaha. Oklahoma advanced to its best of three streak titles by defeating Texas A&M on Wednesday in the championship position.

The Sooners will face the Ole Miss or the Arkansas in Game 1 of the Finals at 7 p.m. ET on Saturday at Charles Schwab Field. The second match will be at 3 pm on Sunday. Both games will be broadcast on ESPN.

Game 3, if necessary, will air at 7 p.m. Monday on the same network.

NASCAR

Three NASCAR races will be broadcast this weekend from Nashville Superspeedway in Lebanon, TN The Camping World Truck Series Rackley Roofing 200 event will begin at 8 p.m. EST Friday at FS1.

The Xfinity Series Tennessee Lottery 250 will air at 3:30 p.m. Saturday on the USA Network.

The Ally 400 Series Cup, the main event of the weekend, will begin at 5 p.m. Sunday on NBC. Kyle Larson, Kyle Busch, Ross Chastain, Chase Elliott, Denny Hamlin and Joey Logano are among the favorites to win the 300 lap race.

Expected contenders include Ryan Blaney, Martin Truex, Jr., William Byron, Tyler Reddick, Christopher Bell and Alex Bowman.

Daniel Suarez won last weekend at Sonoma Raceway and has won two of the past five events. Lugano has won two of the last seven events. Elliott, Chastain, Bosch, Blaney and Lugano are the top 5 drivers in the Cup Series standings. Busch has a Top 11 Series Top 10 position over 16 starts.

Chastain leads the Cup series with seven of the top five finishes. He also tied with Lugano, Hamlin and Byron for the two best wins in the series this season.
