Austin, Texas – Outstanding Texas Women’s Golfers Bohyun Garden And the Sarah Koskova They were named to the Golfweek All-American team this week. Park, a freshman, was awarded the second team’s medals, while Koskova, an older, was selected for the third team. It is the sixth year in a row that the Longhorns have been a member of the Golfweek All-America teams and the fifth in a row with multiple selections.
Earlier this spring, Park received her second All-America team honor from the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA). Kouskova was an honorable mention for the WGCA All-American. She finished her UT career as an All-American class twice after earning a spot on the third golfweek team in 2021 and an honorable mention from the WGCA that year as well.
In her collegiate debut, Park appeared in 11 tournaments and achieved seven Top-20 games, six Top 15, four Top 10, and three Top 5. The new player posted five rounds in the 1960s, as well as a 15-round lead over the At par or better, he’s also taken home the All-Big 12 Tournament Awards this season. Park finished second at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate in March as she clocked 54 holes of 2-under par 211 (70-70-71), and tied for third place apart in helping the Texans win the Big 12 tag team title. At the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate, Park achieved an equivalent or better per round in that tournament, joining Kouskova as the only other longhorn to achieve that feat this season. Park hit her Round 68 lows four separate times in 2021-22. Her first 68 came during the final round of the ANNIKA Intercollegiate, her first-ever collegiate championship. She would go on to post an additional 68 seconds in the opening round at the Windy City Collegiate Classic, the final round at the Stanford Intercollegiate and most recently during the second round at the NCAA Tournament. College freshmen averaged 72.65 strokes per round and finished the year with a 25th national rating in Golfstat.
Koskova has appeared 11 times this season and has scored eight times in the top 20, seven in the 15, four in the top ten, and two in the top five as an individual. She also earned a Big 12 All-Tournament Honor for the second time in her career, finishing sixth alone and helping lead Texans to the Big 12 team title. In 2021-22, she had five rounds in the 1960s and 12 runs on par or better. . Kouskova enrolled sophomore Cotton Bentley For the lowest round of the season for Longhorns five under 66 par. This came during her impressive second-place performance at the Stanford Intercollegiate where she finished with a 54-hole 12-under 201 (68- 67-66) score. Longhorn was the only shooter in the 1960s in all Round of the season championship. The 66th tied for an eighth all-time in program history for an 18-hole singles score, while an under-par five for that round tied for 18th in the record books for an equal 18-hole singles score. The major also finished her college career with the second lowest 54-hole singles score in UT history at 201. Koskova’s other top-five placement came at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate where she finished fifth with 54 holes from a 213 tie. (72-69-72). He averaged 73.24 strokes per round and finished the year with a 19th national rating on Golfstat.
Texas concluded its 2021-22 season and tied for 13th in the NCAA Championship. This was the Longhorns’ fifth consecutive show in the NCAA’s Top 15 and was part of a very successful season that saw UT win the Big 12 title for the fourth time in the five tournaments and advance to the NCAA Championship for the sixth consecutive year.
