5 places to visit if you want to travel this year

2022 seems like a big travel year for many individuals and families. Domestic flights cost more, in part due to increased demand. Many people who haven’t traveled in the past two years will be taking vacations this summer.

Las vigas

Las Vegas like a fever dream You have to try it at least once. When you get there and see the bar lit up at night, it looks like a glowing desert gem.

You can stay in an expensive hotel like Golden Nugget, Cosmopolitan, Luxor or Borgata. You can walk along the strip and see the fountains releasing water in intricate patterns. You can watch pirate show or other shows that happen every hour for your entertainment.

If you are ready, you can enter the casino and try your luck at the tables. Las Vegas has more than just games of chance. You can get a massage and a manicure if you want to pay for a day at the spa. You can go shopping at the many souvenir shops, or check out some rollercoasters or one of the many live shows.

You might want to see a theatrical version of the Elvis or Rat Pack. You might watch a magic show or one of the many hall singers. You can even renew your wedding vows if you go with your wife.

New York

It’s hard to enjoy the quintessential American experience without visiting New York City at least once. There is no other place quite like it, and you will feel it as soon as you arrive. The sheer size may scare you if you’ve lived your whole life in a smaller city, but you’ll find things to do there, no matter what you want.

Go to the village’s jazz club or stroll through Times Square to Broadway, where you can catch a long-running show like The Phantom of the Opera, The Lion King, or The Book of Mormon. You can dine at Keens Steakhouse or balthazar.

Go to Harlem and explore, or you can cross the Brooklyn Bridge into Brooklyn and tour DUMBO, with its boutique cafés. Walk through Central Park or go down to Wall Street to stand next to the charged bull statue that represents the bull market that most traders desire.

New Orleans

New Orleans has a lot of character, and is another city that welcomes tourists, although you should stick with your wallet if you’re walking along Bourbon Street. You can hear music everywhere, from street performers to groups playing inside clubs, crazily improvising. You can take a glass to go and walk from one place to another, and talk to strangers from all over the country.

It seems that going to Mardi Gras is mandatory, but you will find a festive atmosphere at any time. You’ll also find some of the best cuisine in the world, so foodies will want to spend a few days there.

Fresh seafood dominates the menus, as you can try serving lobster in different ways. Maybe okra boy or catfish looks good to you. You might look for something more exotic, like pralines, alligator, or raw oysters.

You can wander through the many beautiful cemeteries in search of the famous tombstones. You can find chess champion Paul Murphy buried there or voodoo queen Marie Laveau. Pirate Barthelemy Lavon has his last place there.

Chicago

The Windy City is not much fun to visit in January or February, but it is very nice during the summer. You get the sun, plus the breeze from the lake, which is a great combination.

Chicago, like New York or other major American cities, has a little something for everyone. You can always look for the best deep-fried pizzas or Italian beef sandwiches, but you can also check out the many museums and art galleries. You’ll also enjoy it if you like architecture, as the city features buildings designed and built by some of the biggest names in that profession.

You can go to Millennium Park Take some pictures in front of the famous Bean statue. You can follow this up by going to the Art Institute of Chicago. They have a permanent collection, as well as other pieces that they display seasonally.

Maggie Daly Park is another favorite hangout spot. You might stop at the Museum of Science and History or the Field Museum.

You can visit the John Hancock Center or the neo-gothic Tribune Tower. When night falls, you can charter a cruise and sail along the waterfront, watching the residents return home after a long day’s work.
