What are the powers of Sparrow Academy in Umbrella Academy Season 3?

Umbrella Academy Season 3 kicks off with some good news: The Brellies are back in 2019. Having spent the second season in the ’60s, Luther (Tom Hooper), Diego (David Castañeda), Alison (Amy Raver-Lampman), Klaus (Robert) Sheehan and Five (Aidan) Gallagher) and Viktor (Elliot Page) have successfully time traveled to the present day. Bad news? The place they called home now was Sparrow Academy. After meeting Parachutes in 1963, Reginald Hargreaves (Colm Feuer) decides to adopt a new group of children. They are sparrows, and each one has a superpower that’s a little weirder than the other.

Sparrows also include – surprise – neighborhood Ben (Justin H. Main). But this is not the Ben Gemayel that we loved in the first two seasons of Umbrella Academy (Remember that guy went nuts after he saved Victor?) Ben Sparrow is angry, cocky, and just plain idiot. He seemed to have a better understanding of his ability to summon tentacles.

Little is known about the rest of the sparrows and their powers. We are here to explain all about Sparrow Academy.

Justin Cornwell, Umbrella Academy

Marcus, the number one sparrow (Justin Cornwell)

Group leader Marcus has superhuman strength. He is determined to protect his family and meets his counterpart in Luther who possesses similar abilities.

Ben, sparrow number two (Justin H. Main)

Although his personality is completely different, Sparrow Ben is just as powerful as Umbrella Ben. He is able to release tentacles from his stomach and manipulate them to cause chaos.

Faye, sparrow number three (Britney Oldford)

Don’t let the fact that Fei don’t have eyes fool you into thinking she can’t see. The Sparrow has absolutely fantastic vision – thanks to the symbiotic relationship it has with the blackbird that manifests itself from its body. Birds act as their eyes from all angles and distances and are also ready to attack their prey.

Alfonso, sparrow number four (Jake Epstein)

Among the sparrows, Alfonso is perhaps the hardest to fight. This is because the hit you inflict on the Joker will return directly to you. Yes, his strength is that when enemies attack, they experience the same attack power that was fired on Alfonso’s body.

Genesis Rodriguez, The Umbrella Academy

Sloan, sparrow number five (Genesis Rodriguez)

Sloan’s force is the manipulation of gravity. This means that she can make herself, other people and things fly – all very useful when it comes to fights. Sloan seems to be more interested in making peace than engaging in combat.

Jimmy, sparrow number six (Katzy David)

It’s a good idea to avoid spitting in any fight, but this is especially important when fighting against Jayme. Once her hallucinogenic black spit hits you, there’s no telling what will happen next. The victim begins to see visions of who knows how they last and become useless in combat.

Justin H Main, The Umbrella Academy

Christopher, Sparrow Number Seven

Christopher is a telekinetic cube. According to Netflix, “It can make a room too cold and cause a paralyzing fear.” Christopher is also able to emit beams of energy to attack his enemies, so it’s best to stay on the good side of the cube.

The third season of The Umbrella Academy is available to stream.
